Bound dipole solitary solutions in anisotropic nonlocal self-focusing media

چکیده
We find and analyze bound dipole solitary solutions in media with anisotropic nonlocal photorefractive material response. The dipole solutions consist of two elliptically shaped Gaussian-type beams separated by several diameters, and with a p phase shift between their fields. Spatial evolution of two initially round Gaussian beams and their convergence to the above dipole solution is demonstrated experimentally. @S1050-2947~97!51308-4#

Solitary attractors and low-order filamentation in anisotropic self-focusing media
We present a detailed theoretical analysis of the properties and formation of single solitons and higher-order bound dipole pairs in media with anisotropic nonlocal photorefractive material response. The single solitons are elliptical beams, whereas the dipole pairs are formed by a pair of displaced elliptical beams with a p phase shift between their fields. The theory predicts convergence of G...

We demonstrate, theoretically and experimentally, that dipole-mode vector solitons created in biased photorefractive media possess a number of anisotropy-driven properties, such as stability of a selected orientation, wobbling, and incomplete rotation, owing to the anisotropic nonlocal response of the photorefractive non-linearity. Such features are found for higher-order (multipole) vector sol...
متن کاملPropagation of light beams in anisotropic nonlinear media: From symmetry breaking to spatial turbulence.
Propagation and spatial evolution of light beams in nonlinear media is a central topic of nonlinear optical dynamics. There has been continuing interest in this topic since the initial investigations of self-trapping of light beams in nonlinear media @1,2#. Analysis of the stability and nonlinear evolution of solitary-wave solutions of nonlinear propagation equations is one of the most crucial ...
متن کاملSoliton transverse instabilities in anisotropic nonlocal self-focusing media.
We study, both numerically and experimentally, the transverse modulational instability of spatial stripe solitons in anisotropic nonlocal photorefractive media. We demonstrate that the instability scenarios depend strongly on the stripe orientation, but the anisotropy-induced features are largely suppressed for spatial solitons created by self-trapping of partially incoherent light.

We study the bound states of two-dimensional bright solitons in nonlocal nonlin-ear media. The general properties and stability of these multisolitary structures are investigated analytically and numerically. We have found that a steady bound state of coherent nonrotating and rotating solitary structures (azimuthons) can exist above some threshold power. A dipolar nonrotating multisoliton occur...
